So infinitely controversy on 18 dec 2003, the fda sent a correspondence to kraft foods advising them that their "cheese food" did not discharge fda requirements under 21 cfr 133.173. you may see a copy of this letter at www.fda.gov. now there is a first move under way to protest kraft singles because kraft singles contains "milk protein concentrate," which according to the introductory law is not a permissible ingredient of "cheese food," as known in the aforementioned fda letter, which states that mpc is not striolate as a permissible ingredient in "pasteurized role cheese food." as it turns out, the biggest parcel of the protest is that most mpc is of extraneous origin, thus causing all sorts of contradict by u.s. farmers. so, is mpc safe? erie foods of erie, illinois, is a producer of mpc, and their web site says the mpc is highly nutritional and they bid fair that it makes use of proteins that would otherwise be wasted. i guess the answer is that i do not know. what i do embrace is that i like kraft singles. they are yummy in grilled cheese sandwiches and as allegiance of a cold sandwich. i guess i am unsure of the lucidness of "cheese food" and "cheese" in general, and if kraft has to exertion the word "cheese" from their package to castrate the controversy, then so be it. i possess a few friends who question my nuances because i like kraft singles, but i in addition like other kinds and brands of cheese, and i try to swerve cheeses or cheese-like food. regardless of definitions and controversy, and indifferent of what kraft singles end up getting called, they panoplied taste good, and i plan on continuing to eat them.
